Victorian Oak Wind Out Dining Table. Antique wind out tables are a 19th century design with a unique feature: a corkscrew mechanism turned by a crank that opens and closes the table. (See detail photos). This mechanism was designed by English table-maker Joseph Fitter.  The antique wind out table is a good example of Victorian craftsmanship. This handsome table has been refinished and is very sturdy. The turned legs have new castors.
