Tom Thumb Piano

Tom Thumb Piano

Vintage P. A. Stark Tom Thumb Piano. (c.1920s). It is a smaller spinet piano. Dimensions: 42" high x 39 "wide x 22.5" deep. This piano has only 61 keys. Purchased by current owner in 1969 from ACME Piano in Philadelphia. The sound conjures up images of the roaring 20s. Think Dooley Wilson in "Casablanca." It was designed to be portable for restaurants, so the pianist could move the piano from table to table. The bandleader Eddie Duchene played one at a regular gig at the Tavern On The Green in Central Park in New York. Irving Berlin and his wife played a Tom Thumb in the Holland Tavern in Soho. (This item is housed outside the barn. Contact: delivery.)
