"The Web" by Piran Strange

"The Web" by Piran Strange. Acrylic on canvas. Original unique hexagonal abstract painting by one of England's most enigmatic artists. Piran Strange (A.K.A. David Barrie) derives his nom de pinceau from Saint Piran, the patron saint of tin-miners. Profits from his artwork go to support scholarships for art students and the Piran Strange Art Prize. He is also a trustee for the St. Piran Trust, the non-profit established to uncover the earliest known Christian edifice on mainland Britain: St Piran's Oratory Chapel, which is currently buried under the sand dunes near Perranporth in Cornwall.

The artist intended for this mesmerizing abstraction to represent God's knowing each one of us as an individual soul amongst the billions of souls.

Condition: Good. Professionally framed. Ready to hang. Signed on verso: "The Web" and "Piran Strange" (see photo). 42.5" wide x 35" high x 2" deep.
